Blaire Baron Larsen – Author

Blaire wants to acknowledge William Shakespeare as her co-author in OUTSPOKEN. Ms. Baron Larsen has worked as an actress in films, television and Off Broadway since age 18.  After working for two decades professionally, she started the renown Los Angeles Drama Club with Julia Walker Wyson (Doll)  – LA Drama Club is the Country’s Youngest Shakespeare Ensemble, and it reaches over 200 children and youth. In Spring, 2015, Blaire’s new play, The Milk Meetings (featuring a dysfunctional group of breastfeeding mothers) enjoyed packed houses on Hollywood’s Theatre Row at Studio C and retured in August by popular demand.  Her short play, Stay Away (about an AirBnb nightmare) was chosen for the August staged reading series at LA’s Fresh Produced.  Her play, The Below,  was a semi-finalist at New York New Works Festival, 2015.  The Below , a nostalgic short play about a delusional eccentric and his toxic Brooklynese sister Bunny, debuted at the  Hollywood Fringe Festival 2015 with Blaire as Bunny. Blaire’s play The Basket Weaver was chosen by Publishers Samuel French for their 2014 OOB Playwrights Festival. Blaire wrote/produced Women In Boxes, an award-winning documentary about female magic assistants.  (Her in-laws, all magicans,  started The Magic Castle). She has won numerous screenwriting awards (Atlanta, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Beverly Hills, Nicholl (semifinals).   In 2014, Blaire was honored by PBS as a Community Champion (for her work with underserved youth and Shakespeare; she is prominently featured in an ongoing PBS Special, LA ART.) www.losangelesdramaclub.com
